Beads from Recycled Newspaper

Love this project!

You will need:
newspaper
pot
water
Elmer's Glue
Acrylic Paints
String of choice.
dremel

1.) Take newspaper and tear into strips
2.) add strips to big pot of water on low -med heat, all you want to do is get water hot enough to start breaking down paper. DO NOT BOIL. Stir very frequently.
3) Once paper is ready it resembles clay
4) Let it cool enough to touch but it works best warm, grab a pinch and add glue, use your fingers to mush it together so you get the glue all through it.
5) Roll into desired size ball & Let them dry-overnight is best. They will be rock hard when completely dry.
6) Use a dremel to drill hole after they have dried. I prefer dremel because you can also sand them down some to smooth them out, but there are other options to get the hole made.
7) PAINT!!:)  - I also used a glossy finish on mine to make them shiny!

String em' up and enjoy! :)

Organic Fun

Getting stir crazy in the house and feeling the need to have some painting fun with my son- turned into this.

First, we gathered things from the yard, then choose your tools and go for painting something equally organic!

Ta-Da!

Simple fun.
